The United Soccer Coaches Division III All-America Teams were released on Thursday and the Foresters'
Izzy DeStefano was a third team selection.
DeStefano is tied for the national lead in assists with 15 and ranks tied-for-18th in the country with 41 points and tied-for-53rd with 13 goals. She had at least one goal or assist in each of Lake Forest's first 16 games and contributed to multiple scores in five consecutive games in September and in nine contests overall.
Thursday's honor adds to a long list of awards for DeStefano this fall. She was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week twice and Forester Athlete of the Week once, league coaches voted her First Team All-MWC for the third straight season and MWC Offensive Player of the Year for the second time in her career.
Despite missing her freshman year due to injury, DeStefano ranks sixth in program history with 108 career points, tied-for-sixth with 40 goals, and eighth with 28 assists. In addition, only three Foresters have scored more than her 14 career game-winning goals.
DeStefano helped lead Lake Forest to a 21-game winning streak to open the 2025 season, the team's third consecutive league championship and second MWC Tournament title in that span, and a victory in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for just the second time in program history. The Foresters also set a school record with 86 goals on the year.
She is the fifth All-American in team history, joining Mei-Yun Gibson (2004), Becky Esrock (2012), Michelle Greeneway (2014), and Holly Lesperance (2015).
