Four Foresters Named All-Region by United Soccer Coaches

12/2/2025 11:35:00 AM

The United Soccer Coaches 2025 All-Region Teams were released on Tuesday and four members of the Forester women's soccer team were listed.

Senior midfielder Izzy DeStefano and forward Anna Gracia earned First Team All-Region IX accolades while two more midfielders, seniors Anna Hoffman and freshman Maddie Vasquez, were named to the second and fourth team, respectively.

DeStefano shares the national lead with 15 assists and ranks tied-for-18th in the country in points with 41. She had at least one goal or assist in each of the team's first 16 games of the season and finished her career ranked sixth in program history with 108 career points, tied-for-sixth with 40 goals, and eighth with 28 assists. DeStefano also earned her second career MWC Offensive Player of the Year award and third straight First Team All-MWC selection this fall and is now a two-time First Team All-Region IX honoree after receiving third team distinction as a sophomore.

Gracia's all-region recognition is the second of her career after being named to the second team a year ago and she is a four-time First Team All-MWC selection. She racked up 36 points this season and her 17 goals are tied for the 16th-highest total in the country. Just five players in the nation had more than her seven game-winning goals in 2025 and she finished her career with the second-most game-winners in program history with 16. Gracia also ranks eighth in team annals with 39 goals and 95 points.

The Foresters' top scorer this fall was Hoffman, who is tied for third in the nation with 52 points and fifth with 21 goals. She scored at least once in nine consecutive games from the middle of September to the middle of October and had at least one points in all but three of the team's 22 contests. Hoffman ranks tied-for-fourth in program history with 52 career goals and fifth with 128 points. She is a four-time First Team All-MWC honoree and was the MWC Offensive Player of the Year and a Fourth Team All-Region IX selection as a junior.

Vasquez completed her rookie year with 24 points on nine goals and six assists. She accounted for the only goal of Lake Forest's victory over Lawrence University in the MWC Tournament final and started the scoring in the team's triumph over Spalding University in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Vasquez was also named First Team All-MWC and MWC Newcomer of the Year last month.

The Foresters began the 2025 season with 21 consecutive victories, including eight in conference play to claim their third straight league title and two more to win the MWC Tournament. They scored a school record 86 goals and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second time in team history.

Lake Forest's four all-region selections trail only the five the Foresters received in 2014, when they also finished 21-1-0.
