D3football.com announced its all-region teams on Wednesday and five Lake Forest College players were among the honorees in Region 5.
Senior
Michael Kelley was a Second Team All-Region 5 selection and the Foresters' only honoree on the defensive side of the ball. Kelley, an interior lineman, made at least one tackle in every game and ranked eighth on the team with 29 on the season. His 10.0 tackles for loss were tied for the third-highest total on the squad and 1.5 of those were sacks. In addition, Kelley made an appearance on offense and scored his first career touchdown against Lawrence University on November 1. The three-time All-Midwest Conference honoree finished his career with 87 tackles, including 22.0 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks.
Four Lake Forest players were named Third Team All-Region 5, including senior guard
Vinny Colasacco and freshman tackle
Kennedy Washington. Thanks in large part to the play of the offensive line, the Foresters set a program record and ranked 18th in the nation with 42.3 points per game. They were also 34th in the country with 435.9 total yards, 33rd with 203.9 rushing yards, and 46th with just 1.1 sacks allowed per contest. Colasacco repeated as a First Team All-MWC selection in 2025 while Washington earned Second Team honors from the league.
Another Forester freshman, tight end
James Jordan, was also named Third Team All-Region 5 on Wednesday. Jordan caught 17 passes for 232 yards and a team-high five touchdowns and was voted First Team All-MWC and the MWC Newcomer of the Year by league coaches.
Lake Forest's special teams were also represented on Wednesday with the selection of sophomore kicker
Hudson Schambach as a Third Team All-Region 5 player. He was 48-for-50 on extra points and 9-for-12 kicking field goals and his 75 points led the team and are the most for a kicker in school history. Schambach's field goal total ranked tied-for-30th nationally and, in his first season on the team, he made two of the program's six longest field goals (44 and 46 yards).
The 2025 Foresters won their last seven games of the season and finished 7-3 overall and tied-for-second place in the MWC at 7-2 in league play. Their five all-region players matched highest total in team history.
