Lake Forest College football player Ethan Springer was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday after turning helping lead his team to a 49-24 victory at Cornell College on Saturday.

Springer, a sophomore quarterback, connected on 28 of 33 passes for a career-high 320 yards and two touchdowns in the contest. He also had 27 rushing yards on five attempts. Springer's 84.8 completion percentage is the fourth-highest single-game mark in program history and he now has two entries on that list, including the second-best mark of 88.2 set last week against Grinnell College. 

At 72.0 percent, Springer's completion percentage on the season would be a school record while his efficiency rating of 154.8 would rank third in team annals. He has completed nearly 83 percent of his passes for 777 yards and six touchdowns with just one interception in the last three games combined.
