The Forester track team traveled to Elmhurst University on Saturday to compete outdoors for the first time in 2021.

Lake Forest's top finisher at the Elmhurst Opener was senior Audrey Paglia, who placed fifth in the women's 800m run with a career-best time of 2:24.75.

A pair of Lake Forest women scored points for the team in the 1500, where seniors Anna Mollnhuber and Yaneli Guajardo finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

A fourth senior, Molly Gniady, added an eighth-place finish in the 3000 to close out the scoring for the Forester women.

On the men's side junior Mathieu Norcross and senior Logan Schmidt were eighth in the 800 and 100, respectively.

The Foresters will compete in the Beloit Invitational, which is scheduled to begin at noon.
