9/15/2026 4:31:00 PM

Football player Dom Esposito and soccer player Annabelle Schroeder added to their awards list by being named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Esposito helped lead his team to a 68-12 victory at Knox College on Saturday. The senior wide receiver scored touchdowns on four of his 10 catches and his 359 receiving yards is a new school and Midwest Conference record while ranking eighth in NCAA Division III history. He reached the end zone on a pair of 67-yard gains in the first quarter and struck from 71 and 60 yards out on the first two possessions after halftime.

Esposito was also the Foresters' leading receiver in the season opener and he leads the nation with 434 receiving yards on the year, 98 more than the next-highest total.

Schroeder, a junior midfielder, scored three goals and assisted on four as Lake Forest won four games last week. She began the week by netting the first two goals and assisting on the third in Tuesday night's 6-0 victory at Benedictine University. The Foresters posted 2-0 victories at home over Concordia University Chicago on Thursday and St. Norbert College on Saturday with Schroeder playing 80 minutes in the first game and registering a goal and assist in the second. The team rolled 5-0 at Aurora University on Sunday and Schroeder capped off her productive week with two assists.

Schroeder's 12 points on the year are the most of any Midwest Conference player and she now has 40 points on 13 goals and 14 assists in her career.

Esposito and Schroeder were also voted MWC Offensive Performers of the Week on Monday and Esposito was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week earlier on Tuesday. This is the second career Forester Athlet of the Week award for Schroeder, who also earned the honor once last fall.
