Lake Forest College Assistant Vice President for Athletics
Jim Catanzaro announced Monday that a search for the Foresters' next head women's lacrosse coach is under way following the resignation of
Casey Ryan, who led the team the last three seasons.
"Our women's lacrosse program has quickly become one of the strongest in the Midwest and I look forward to that success continuing under new leadership," commented Catanzaro. "The track record of the team, the quality of our facilities, and the high-level education available at the College make the position an attractive one for an experienced or up-and-coming coach."
The Forester women's lacrosse team began competing as an NCAA Division III sport in 2022 and is 60-28 overall and 33-2 in conference play over the last five years. Lake Forest has captured three regular season conference championships and three league tournament titles with at least one or the other in each of those seasons.
Lake Forest players have earned 37 all-conference honors and combined for nine attacker, midfielder, defender, or goalkeeper of the year awards in the last five seasons. They have also been named all-region seven times and three Foresters have been selected to play in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game.
The open position will be posted on theÂ
employment page of the College's website.Â
