The Forester women's tennis team hosted and defeated Augustana College 6-1 on Wednesday on the College's outdoor courts.

Lake Forest juniors Kate Feist and Anika Kinnear defeated the Vikings #3 doubles team 6-1 and the double point was secured when junior Sofia Strupovets and sophomore Lilli Dockal finished off their 6-2 victory at #1. Freshman Anya Mookencherry and sophomore Avelynn Wen won by the same score at #2 to make it a Forester doubles sweep.

Dockal rolled 6-0, 6-2 at #2 singles and Wen came out on top 6-4, 6-1 at #4. The match clincher came from Mookencherry's 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 triumph at #3, Feist did not drop a game at #5, and Kinnear closed out the contest with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at #6.

The Foresters improved to 14-3 on the season and their win total ranks tied-for-seventh in program history. Augustana fell to 6-8.

Lake Forest will host the University of California, Santa Cruz Sunday at noon.
