The Intercollegiate Tennis Association updated its rankings on Wednesday and the Forester men climbed a spot to 42nd on the Division III national list, which included the top 75 teams in the country.
Lake Forest posted 7-0 victories over Ripon College and Lawrence University on Saturday. Players on the team have dropped just one set in four Midwest Conference matches over the last two Saturdays and now own a .695 winning percentage in singles and .690 in doubles so far this year.
The Foresters' current winning streak of nine matches tied the sixth-longest run in program history and the team is now 13-5 on the year. Four of the five losses are to teams above them in the ITA rankings and the fifth was to #65 University of Rochester. Among Lake Forest's victories are a 5-2 triumph over #33 Oberlin and a 7-0 sweep at #56 Hope College.
This Saturday the Foresters will travel to Iowa to close out MWC play with matches at #20 Grinnell College and Cornell College. They have already qualified for the four-team MWC Tournament, which will take place in Madison, Wisconsin, on April 24.
