4/14/2026 2:32:00 PM

Golfer Amanda Adley and track runner Ollie Francis were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Adley was the individual champion at a pair of events last week. She matched the best round of her collegiate career with a 79 (+8) to win by one stroke in a field of 101 players at Tuesday's Judson Invitational. Lake Forest also finished first out of 18 teams in the tournament. The Foresters were third at the six-team Hope Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday and Adley was again the medalist by a single shot with an 80 (+8) in the opening round and a career-best 78 (+6) a day later.

The three best round of the year for Adley dropped the sophomore's season scoring average to 83.75 and career mark to 84.88.

Francis finished fifth out of 86 runners overall and second among NCAA Division III competitors in the 800m at the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships on Saturday. The junior's time of 1:54.23 was the best of his career, a school record, and the fastest in the Midwest Conference this season by more than a second. He also anchored the Foresters' 4x400m relay, which placed 10th and posted the third -best clocking in team history at 3:31.19.

Francis originally set the program record in the outdoor 800m at the same meet a year ago before breaking it with a time of 1:54.36 three weeks later. That mark stood until Saturday.

Tuesday's Forester Athlete of the Week award was the first for Adley and seventh for Fraancis, who also earned the honor twice during the indoor season, three times in 2025, and once in 2024.
