The Lake Forest College track and field teams joined collegiate programs from every level at Elmhurst University this weekend for the 2026 Chicagoland Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The top performance for the Forester women came from junior Lettia Hoda in Saturday's 5000m. Hoda placed fifth in the event and her time of 17:51.92 was a school record by more than 25 seconds.

Another program record fell on Friday when freshman Brayden Long broke his own mark by finishing the 100m in 11.03 seconds. He ws 13th out of 100 competitors in the prelims.

The most impressive of Lake Forest's three team records on Saturday ws turned in by junior Ollie Francis in the men's 800m. He finished two laps around the track in 1:54.23, good for fifth place in a field of 86 runners and .13 seconds faster than the school record he set last season.

The Foresters' men's 4x100m relay team of junior Shuntaro Nakamura, freshman Christopher Yoon, Long, and senior Mason Wright were eighth in the race but their time of 43.35 seconds were four-tenths-of-a-second better than the program record they set two weeks ago.

Sophomore Liam Foo is one of two Lake Forest athletes to ever run the men's 400m hurdles and his time of 1:02.49 on Saturday slightly improved the team record he already owned.

Field events provided two more notable performances for the Foresters. Freshman Finn Gruver finished sixth out of 41 long jumpers on Friday with a leap of 6.51m (21' 4.25") and senior Jermaine Robinson was 11th out of 58 competitors in the shot put on Thursday with a throw of 14.15m (46' 5.25"). Robinson now ranks second in team history in his event and Gruver third in his.

Eight additional updates were made to the program's list of the top five performers in each event.

Next Saturday's Don Church Twilight Meet at Wheaton College is the next event on the Foresters' 2026 schedule.
