The Forester women's tennis team won for the second times in as many matches during its Spring Break Trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, defeating LeTourneau University 7-0 Monday night.
Lake Forest came out on top 6-3 over LeTourneau's top two doubles teams with junior
Sofia Strupovets and sophomore
Lilli Dockal playing at #1 and freshman
Anya Mookencherry and sophomore
Avelynn Wen at #2. The Foresters' #3 tandem of juniors
Kate Feist and
Anika Kinnear tripled up their opponents 6-2.
Dockal rolled 6-0, 6-2 at #2 singles and Mookencherry was nearly as dominant in a 6-0, 6-4 victory at #3. Senior
Olivia Pandazi then finished off a convincing 6-1, 6-2 triumph at #6 to clinch the match for Lake Forest. Strupovets won the first set 6-4 and the second 6-1 at the top spot in the lineup and Wen played the same number of games in a 6-3, 6-2 victory at #4. Feist finished off the contest by edging out her counterpart 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 at #5.
The Foresters are now 2-0 on the trip, 3-0 in the spring, and 12-2 overall in 2025-26. LeTourneau, meanwhile, fell to 4-2.
Lake Forest will play its final Spring Break match against Catholic University Friday morning at 8:30 (ET).
