The Lake Forest College women's tennis team edged out the University of Rochester 4-3 on Sunday in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The doubles point proved to be crucial and the Foresters earned it in dramatic fashion. Rochester won at #2 and the other two matches appeared to be headed for a split with Lake Forest junior

Sofia Strupovets and sophomore
Lilli Dockal trailing 5-1 at #1. Both contests were soon tied at five before the Forester tandems finished off 7-5 triumphs.
The top three singles matches were next and Lake Forest swept them to clinch the victory. Strupovets rolled 6-0, 6-1 at #1 and freshman
Anya Mookencherry came out on top 7-5, 6-2 at #3. Dockal doubled up her opponent 6-3 in the first set at #2 but needed a tiebreaker to take the second 7-6 (7-2).
The Yellowjackets collected victories at the bottom three spots in the lineup with two of them coming in third set super tiebreakers.
The Foresters improved to 11-2 on the season while Rochester fell to 5-5.
