College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams on Tuesday and Lake Forest College's Alex Brown among the honorees.

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at their current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They also must compete in at least 90 percent or start at least two-thirds of their team's contests.

Brown played in all 26 of the team's games and made a dozen starts this season. The senior guard averaged 6.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest and added 34 assists and 25 steals to his stat line for the year.

This year's Academic All-District® honor is the second in a row for Brown, who was also named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court and was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society in 2024-25. In addition, the economics major with a concentration in finance is a three-time Academic All-Midwest Conference honoree.

The Foresters were 16-10 overall and finished third in the MWC standings with an 11-5 record in league play this season.

Lake Forest has now had at least one player earn Academic All-District® accolades each of the last four seasons.
