The Lake Forest College women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 at Hope College, the 38th-ranked team in the nation, on Friday.
The Foresters' only point came from a 7-5, 6-1 triumph by junior
Sofia Strupovets at #1 singles. She extended her singles winning streak to eight matches and improved to 48-7 at the top spot in the lineup in her career.

Kate Feist nearly matched the winning streak of Strupovets but was defeated 6-0, 4-6, 6-2 at #4.
The other four singles matches were completed in two sets and the closest doubles match was at #1, where Strupovets and Dockal were edged out 6-4.
Lake Forest had won its first four matches of the spring semester and Friday's loss dropped the team's record this season to 13-3. Hope, meanwhile, improved to 5-5.
The Foresters will host Augustana College in their next match on Wednesday, April 8.
