The Lake Forest College men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Carthage College Friday night at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.

The Firebirds swept the doubles matches to earn the first point of the contest.

After Carthage ame out on top at #6 and #4 singles, the Foresters secured their first team point when senior George Ciuca finished off a 2-6, 6-4, (10-8) triumph at #2. Aftrer the Firebirds clinched the match with a win at #5, Lake Forest junior Rodrigo Cunha took both sets 6-4 at #3 for the home team's other point. After falling 6-1 in the opening set and trailing the second 5-2, sophomore Felipe Moraes came back and tied the set 6-6 before falling in the tiebreaker.

The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 4-3 while Carthage improved to 6-2.

Lake Forest's next few matches will be played during the team's Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, in the second week of March.
