The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the results of the 2026 Men's Golf Coaches Poll on Wednesday and Lake Forest College was first in the rankings.
Voting is done by the SLIAC head coaches.
Lake Forest was atop four of the 13 ballots and finished with 134 points. Mississippi University for Women was second with 126 points, one more than Lyon College, and the two schools received five and four first-place votes, respectively. Webster University rounded out the top four with 102 points.
The Foresters were the runners-up at the 2025 SLIAC Championship Tournament last spring. Current sophomore Tyler Wengronowitz earned First Team All-SLIAC accolades with a third-place finish at the tournament and junior Tyler Schick was a Second Team All-SLIAC honoree in a tie for 13th place. Wengronowitz led the team with a scoring average of 74.54 during the fall while Schick and three other members of the team posted averages between 76.00 and 76.77.
Forester Head Coach Brian Bruha is in his 12th year at the helm of the program and has led the Foresters to a pair of league titles and six additional top-three finishes at the conference championship tournament. He will take his team to Far Oaks Country Club in Caseyville, Illinois, for the 2026 SLIAC Championships April 26-28.
