The Lake Forest College men's golf team placed seventh at the Twin Cities Classic on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Each of the tournament's three rounds were played on a different course and it was the Foresters' final event of 2025.
The team's best scores in Monday's final round came from junior
Tyler Schick and sophomore
Nate Choi, who were each 3-over on the par-73 course at Minnesota Valley Country Club. Sophomore
Tyler Poker had led the squad the day before with a 2-over 72 at LeSueur Country Club and the team's round one leaders were junior
Tyler Wengronowitz and freshman
Jack Lee, whose 74s were four shots over par at Elk River Golf Club.
Wengronowitz was the Foresters' top finisher and placed tied-for-13th overall with an 11-over 224. Only seven of the event's 85 players had more than his nine birdies in the three rounds combined.
Lee tied for 22nd in the field at 229 (+16) and his 31 pars tied for the eighth-highest total at the event. Schick, who had an eagle late in Saturday's opening round, was two shots behind Lee and one ahead of Choi.
The Foresters were 16-over each of the final two days and their final score of 908 (+56) is the fourth-best 54-hole total in team history. Gustavus Adolphus College, the host of the tournament, finished first at 882, 15 shots ahead of runner-up Bethel University. The next five teams were each a stroke apart with Lake Forest at the end of that span.
The team's spring semester schedule will be posted at a later date.
