Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Foresters Stay Perfect with 4-1 Win against Aurora

The Lake Forest College women's soccer team extended its unbeaten start to the season with a convincing 4–1 victory over Aurora on Tuesday evening. The Foresters wasted no time taking control of the match, striking twice in a 19-second span midway through the first half. Junior Anna Hoffman opened the scoring in the 15th minute off a setup from senior Izzy DeStefano, and moments later the roles reversed when DeStefano finished a pass from junior Caitlin Mulcahy to double the lead.

The momentum carried into the second half, where sophomore Anna Gracia showcased her finishing touch. She netted her third goal of the season just three minutes after the restart, assisted by Hoffman, and added her second of the match in the 65th minute on a feed from DeStefano. Aurora managed to get on the board in the 82nd minute, but the Foresters' balanced attack and defensive organization kept the Spartans at bay throughout the night.

Lake Forest dominated statistically, outshooting Aurora 18–5 and holding a 5–3 advantage in corner kicks. With the win, the Foresters improved to 3–0–0 on the year and will look to continue their strong start as non-conference play rolls on. This win also is Coach T.R. Bell's 300th of his career!

The Foresters return to action on Sunday, September 7, when they travel to St. Norbert College for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff in De Pere, Wisconsin.
