The Lake Forest College women's soccer team kept its perfect season alive on Monday afternoon with a 4–1 win over Concordia University Wisconsin at Mohr Field. The victory moves the Foresters to 11–0 overall and 1–0 in Midwest Conference play.
The Foresters opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when senior Anna Gracia found the back of the net off an assist from senior Theresa Presberg. Concordia tied the match early in the second half, but Lake Forest quickly responded with three unanswered goals to take control of the game.
Senior Izzy DeStefano put the Foresters back in front in the 65th minute, scoring off a setup from junior Annabelle Schroeder. Senior Anna Hoffman then added two insurance goals in the 77th and 90th minutes, with assists coming from junior Anna Diebold and sophomore Maggie Balas, respectively.
The Foresters dominated throughout the match, outshooting the Falcons 27–5 with a 13–2 advantage in shots on goal.
In goal, senior Greta Norville made one save and stood tall in net to help secure the win.
Lake Forest (11–0, 1–0 MWC) will look to keep its undefeated streak alive when it hosts Illinois College on Saturday, October 4 at 1 p.m. at Mohr Field.
