Golfer Tyler Schick and lacrosse player Savannah Frauhiger were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Schick was part of a team that posted a score of 293 (+5) on Saturday to win the 15-team Morningstar Masters. The sophomore finished the front nine three over and proceeded to birdie four holes on the back en route to a 2-under 34 coming in. His final score of 73 (+1) tied him for fifth place out of 80 players in the field.
With a scoring average of 74.76 on the season, Schick ranks second on this year's team but slightly ahead of the program record of 74.80.
Frauhiger , a senior midfielder, recorded a school record eight caused turnovers in the Foresters' 17-8 victory over Edgewood College on Wednesday. She also had a career-high nine ground balls in the contest. Lake Forest also celebrated Senior Day by defeating Concordia University Wisconsin 23-3 on Saturday. Frauhiger caused four turnovers, picked up four ground balls, and scored a goal as her team remained undefeated in league play this year.
Frauhiger ranked third in program history with 70 caused turnovers and 127 ground balls in her career.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by a vote of athletic department staff on Tuesdays. Schick earned the honor for the third time in 2024-25 and fourth in his career.
