The Forester women's basketball team was defeated 81-26 by the host school on Monday at the Wartburg Holiday Tournament.
Junior guard
Anika Kinnear finished with nine points and led Lake Forest in scoring for the second time this season. Sophomore guardÂ
Ariana Ferreira-Torralba was next on the squad with five.
The visitors shot just 20.5 percent from the field while the Knights connected on 42 percent of their field goal attempts. Wartburg also had a 42-33 edge in rebounds and committed just 14 turnovers while the Foresters had 34.
Lake Forest trailed 23-19 at the end of the first quarter and 42-12 at halftime.
The Foresters fell to 2-8 while Wartburg improved to 5-6.
Simpson College will be Lake Forest's opponent on Tuesday with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
