The Forester men's basketball team began the 2025-26 season with a 93-87 loss to North Park University at home on Saturday.

Alex Forowycz, who shared game-high honors with 27 points apiece. Rodriguez also pulled down nine rebounds while Forester junior wing
Coltrane Marchand led all players in the game with 10.
Lake Forest shot 48.5 percent from the field while the Vikings were at just 43.8 percent. The Foresters, however, committed 16 turnovers to the visitors' nine.
North Park's eight-point lead early in the contest was the largest for either team before halftime. The advantage changed hands five times in the opening period, which ended with the Foresters ahead 41-39.
After five more lead changes in the first 80 seconds of the second half, the Vikings began pulling away. Their lead reached nine points at 56-47 but Lake Forest battled back and jumped ahead by a point on a jumper by Forowicz with 10:21 remaining. North Park regained the lead on the next possession and did not lose it the rest of the way. The margin grew to as many as 11 points at 85-74 with five minutes to play but wa back down to four (90-86) with a minute on the clock. The Foresters, however, got no closer and the Vikings came away with a season-opening win.
Lake Forest will travel to Wheaton College on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
