Men's Soccer to take on Luther in First Round of NCAA Tournament

The 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament field and bracket were released on Monday and the Foresters will take on Luther College in the opening round Saturday afternoon at 1:30. The game will be played at St. Olaf College.

At 19-1-0, the Foresters own the highest winning percentage in the nation. They captured their second straight Midwest Conference title with a perfect league record of 8-0-0 and earned their fourth consecutive trip to the national playoffs by winning the Midwest Conference Tournament at home over the weekend. After defeating Ripon College 3-0 in Friday's semifinal round, they prevailed 4-0 over Grinnell College in Saturday's final. This year's NCAA Tournament appearance will be Lake Forest's seventh in the last 13 seasons and the 12th in program history.

Luther is 9-2-7 on the season and finished first in the Americn Rivers Conference standings with a 4-0-4 mark in league play. The Norse posted 1-0 victories at home over Central College and Wartburg College to win the A-R-C Tournament. They are also making their 12th appearance in the NCAA Tournament but first since 2022.

This will be the second meeting between Lake Forest and Luther. The first was played at Lake Forest in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament with Luther coming out on top 3-0.

St. Olaf (16-2-3, 9-0-1 MIAC) will host University of Wisconsin-Superior (16-6-0, 12-0-0 UMAC) in the other opening round game and the winners will meet in the second round Sunday afternoon at 1:00.
