The Foresters secured a 2–0 win over Grinnell College on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Farwell Field, improving to 16–1 overall and 7–0 in league play.
Senior defender Christian Karabetsos opened the scoring in the 25th minute, rising above the defense to bury a header off a pinpoint cross from junior Peter Cirbo. Just before halftime, senior Gio Diaz added insurance with his third goal of the year, finishing a well-placed pass from sophomore Finn Gruver to make it 2–0.
While the match was fairly even in possession, the Foresters made the most of their chances and stayed organized defensively. Freshman goalkeeper Marceli Okonski turned in another composed performance, recording the team's 11th shutout of the season behind a steady back line led by Karabetsos, fellow senior Alexis Flores, sophomore Sam Satisky, and freshman Rocky Rabago.
With the win, Lake Forest remains unbeaten in conference play and will carry strong momentum into the final stretch of the regular season. The Foresters will wrap up conference play next Saturday, November 1, on the road against Monmouth College before turning their focus to the Midwest Conference Tournament, which begins November 7 in Lake Forest.
