The Lake Forest men's soccer team finished the regular season in style with a 5–0 road victory over Monmouth College on Saturday afternoon. The Foresters improved to 17–1 overall and 8–0 in Midwest Conference play, earning the top seed for next week's conference tournament.

Junior Peter Cirbo opened the scoring in the 8th minute, finishing a setup from junior Nathan Kostovetsky. Freshman Vico Pozuelos extended the lead late in the first half, striking in the 41st minute to give Lake Forest a 2–0 advantage heading into halftime.

Junior Gustavo Machado added to the lead in the 61st minute off an assist from senior Ollie Francis, and Kostovetsky found the back of the net in the 69th minute to make it 4–0. Pozuelos then capped the scoring in the 78th minute, converting a pass from freshman Jimmy Cirbo for his second of the match.

The Foresters outshot the Scots 20–9 and held an 11–2 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore goalkeeper Kyle Demmon and junior Andrew Swacha combined for the team's 11th shutout of the season, allowing just one shot on target.

Lake Forest will return to Mohr Field on Friday, November 7, at 11 a.m. to open the Midwest Conference Tournament as they look to secure another conference championship.
