Soccer player Peter Cirbo and volleyball player Lilly Robinson were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Cirbo scored his team-high sixth goal of the season less than six minutes into Wednesday's 3-0 triumph over Calvin University, the nation's 17th-ranked team. The junior midfielder's shot from well above the top of the box caromed off the right post and in to give the home team the early lead. Cirbo, who also leads Lake Forest with seven assists so far this season, also set up a score later in the game and added another assist in the Foresters' 4-3 victory over Illinois College.

Lake Forest's men's soccer team improved to 11-0 on the year and has matched the 1975 Foresters for the program's longest winning streak to begin a season..

Robinson filled up the stat sheet in her team's thrilling five-set victory over Beloit College on Saturday. In addition to leading the squad with 27 assists and five aces, the senior added six kills, reached double figures with 11 digs, and chipped in with a pair of blocks on the day. After the Foresters dropped the first two sets, Robinson led the comeback effort with 15 assists in the next two sets and three aces in the last. She also recorded 16 assists and eight digs in a loss to Grinnell Friday night.

Robinson now ranks eighth in program history with 127 career aces and ninth with 1,356 assists.

Cribo was also a Forester Athlete of the Week twice earlier this fall and once last year while the award for Robinson is the first of her career.
