The Foresters stayed red-hot and unbeaten, rolling past Cornell College 9–1 on Saturday morning to move to 16–0 overall and 6–0 in the Midwest Conference.
Senior Izzy DeStefano opened the scoring just three minutes in, finishing a setup from senior Caitlin Mulcahy to give Lake Forest early momentum. The Foresters never looked back, pouring in four more goals before halftime.
Freshman Maddie Vasquez struck twice in the opening frame — both assisted by senior Anna Hoffman — while junior Ella Chicone and senior Lauren Covarrubias each added goals to make it 5–0 at the break.
Cornell got on the board briefly in the second half, but Lake Forest's offense kept its foot on the gas. Sophomore Annabelle Schroeder, Chicone, and freshman Sammy Castillo all found the back of the net down the stretch as the Foresters closed out their most dominant performance of the season.
Vasquez led the attack with a hat trick and six shots on goal, while DeStefano and Hoffman each tallied multiple assists. Senior goalkeeper Joanna Aslanides made two saves in the win.
The Foresters outshot Cornell 45–9 (28–3 on goal) and finished with a 7–3 edge in corner kicks.
Lake Forest returns home for Senior Day on Saturday, October 25, hosting Grinnell College at 11:00 a.m. on Farwell Field as they look to keep their perfect season alive.
