The Lake Forest College women's volleyball team won the opening set 25-22 but dropped the next three 25-17, 25-20, and 25-11 at Monmouth College Friday night.
The Foresters led by four points and then trailed by four in the opening set. The deficit was four again at 20-16 before they went on a 9-2 run to close it out. Senior

Alisa Kevric a dozen digs in the set. Sophomore
Margaret Almonte served up a pair of aces, including one for set point.
Monmouth won eight of the first 12 points in set two. Lake Forest eventually pulled to within three at 19-16 but got no closer.
A 9-8 advantage was the visitors' only lead in set three. The score was tied at 17 before the Fighting Scot took eight of the next 11 points and the set.
Set four got away from the Foresters early as the home team jumped out to a 15-3 lead. There was no dramatic comeback as Monmouth closed it out.
Kevric led all players in the match with a season-high 24 digs while Van Stone and fellow senior
Lilly Robinson also reached double figures with 10 and 11, respectively. Van Stone also finished with a tea-high 11 kills for her third double-double of the year. Robinson had 20 digs while junior
Meghan Winston added 15 to a stat line that included nine kills and nine digs.
The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record 4-11 and Midwest Conference mark to 1-2. Monmouth, meanwhile, improved to 7-11 overall and evened its league mark at 1-1.
Lake Forest will continue its southern trip in the conference at Illinois College Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
