The Lake Forest College women's volleyball team took the opening set 25-22 but eventually fell in four at Illinois College on Saturday.
Set one included seven lead changes, the last during a 4-0 Forester run that made the score 19-17. Illinois College won the next point before three in a row for the visitors extended their lead. Junior
Meghan Winston eventually closed it out with her second kill of the set.

Alisa Kevric, the Foresters never led in set two. The Lady Blues gradually pulled away and took the most lopsided set of the afternoon 25-17.
Lake Forest led for the first half of the third set and were ahead 12-8 when the home team turned things around with a 9-2 run. The Foresters battled back and tied the score at 21 before the Lady Blues won four of the next five points and the set.
Set four was tied at five before Lake Forest rattled off five consecutive points. Illinois College responded with an eight-point run but three in a row for the Foresters tied the score at 13. A decisive six-point run for the Lady Blues put them on top for good and they led by at least two the rest of the way.

Rio Dirksen led the team with 10 kills and a match-high five blocks in the contest.Kevric was the only Forester in double figures in digs with 16 and Winston led all players with 23 assists.
The loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record to 4-12 and Midwest Conference mark to 1-3 while Illinois College improved to 8-14 overall and 3-0 in the league.
The Foresters will continue conference play at Cornell College next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
