The Foresters continued their incredible run Tuesday afternoon, defeating Ripon 1–0 at Mohr Field to stay perfect at 14–0–0 overall and 5–0–0 in Midwest Conference play.
Lake Forest remains the only team in the nation without a loss or tie this season, standing alone atop Division III as they continue their historic start. The Foresters are currently ranked 13th in the country by United Soccer Coaches and 5th nationally in the NCAA Power Index.
Junior Peter Cirbo delivered the decisive moment early, calmly converting a penalty kick in the 10th minute for his seventh goal of the year.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kyle Demmon once again anchored the defense, making a save and earning his fifth shutout of the season. The back line led by senior Christian Karabetsos, sophomore Sam Satisky, and freshman Rocky Rabago was rock solid, holding Ripon to just four shots and one on target.
Offensively, senior Gio Diaz and junior Nathan Kostovetsky generated steady pressure throughout the match, helping the Foresters outshoot the Red Hawks 14–4 and post a 9–2 edge in corner kicks.
With the win, Lake Forest continues to prove why they're one of the most dominant and disciplined teams in the nation.
