Foresters Dominate Beloit to Stay Unbeaten at 14-0

The Lake Forest College women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to 14 straight games Saturday, cruising to a 5–0 win over Beloit to remain perfect on the season and improve to 14–0 overall and 4–0 in conference play.

The Foresters wasted no time setting the tone, scoring four times in the first half to take full control. Senior Anna Graciaopened the scoring in the 18th minute off an assist from fellow senior Izzy DeStefano, who then set up sophomore Annabelle Schroeder less than a minute later to make it 2–0.

Sophomore Maggie Balas extended the lead in the 29th minute, finishing off a pass from Schroeder, who added her second goal of the day in the 41st minute with Balas returning the favor on the assist. Senior Anna Hoffman capped off the scoring early in the second half, finding the back of the net in the 48th minute off a setup from freshman Maddie Vasquez and senior Theresa Presberg.

The Foresters outshot Beloit 29–6 and held a commanding 12–0 edge in corner kicks. Senior goalkeeper Joanna Aslanides stopped all five shots she faced to record the shutout.

With the win, Lake Forest continues to establish itself as one of the most dominant programs in Division III this season. The Foresters will look to stay unbeaten when they return home Tuesday to host Ripon College at 4:00 p.m.
