The Lake Forest College men's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by visiting Illinois Wesleyan University on Mohr Field on Wednesday.
The Foresters actually out-shot the Titans 11-10 and earned nine corner kicks to the visitors' two in the contest Lake Forest put six shots on goal, including one that was stopped by a defender's header.
Illinois Wesleyan netted the game's first goal in the 10th minute and finally doubled the lead with 4:11 to play in the contest.
It was the first shutout by a Forester opponent this season and the loss dropped Lake Forest's record to 1-6-2. Illinois Wesleyan improved to 6-0-1.
The Foresters will begin Midwest Conference play at Grinnell College Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
