The Lake Forest College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with Dominican University at home on Saturday.
Sophomore
Nathan Kostovetsky gave the Foresters a lead midway through the first half. He was on the receiving end of a cross from the right side of the field by freshman
Sam Satisky and headed the ball into the right side of the goal. It was Kostovetsky's second score of the season and he and Satisky share the team lead in points with five apiece.
The Stars had a 12-4 advantage in shots during the game's first 45 minutes but the Foresters still led 1-0 at halftime.
Dominican also doubled up the home team's shot total 8-4 in the second half and tied the score 10 minutes into the period.
Lake Forest narrowly missed out on a pair of chances to regain the lead in the second half but had shots travel just outside both posts.
Forester junior goalkeeper
Dennis Turdean made two saves in each half in his second start of the year.
Lake Forest is now 1-5-2 and Dominican 3-3-2 on the season.
The Foresters will host Illinois Wesleyan University next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
