The Forester volleyball team was defeated in four sets by host Benedictine University and three by Elmhurst University on Saturday.
Sophomore
Meghan Winston matched her career high with 10 kills int he first match of the day. Senior
Rebekkah De Kok and junior
Lilly Robinson were next on the team with seven apiece.
Seniors
Juli Barrientos and
Lauren Volk reached double figures in digs with 15 and 10, respectively, while freshmanÂ
Melania Mathieux led the visitors with 14 assists and three aces.
Benedictine won the first two sets, Lake Forest prevailed in the third, and the Eagles closed out the contest by taking the fourth.
Winston and De Kok shared team-high honors with seven kills apiece against Elmhurst. De Kok's five digs also led the squad, as did Robinson's 10 assists and three blocks.
Lake Forest fell to 1-7 on the season while Benedictine improved to 3-5 and Elmhurst to 5-4.
The Foresters will play in another triangular at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Friday. After taking on Carroll University at 5:00 p.m., they will face the hosts at 7:00.
