The Forester women's tennis team rolled 7-0 at Elmhurst University on Wednesday.
Lake Forest dropped just one game in the three doubles matches combined. Sophomore
Sofia Strupovets and freshman
Lilli Dockal prevailed 6-1 at #1 while fifth-year
Margaret Bugnacki and sophomore
Kate Feist blanked their opponents 6-0 at #2, as did sophomore
Anika Kinnear and senior Emily Borss at #3.
Scores were nearly as lopsided in singles, where Strupovets, Bugnacki, and sophomore
Olivia Pandazi posted 6-0, 6-0 victories at #1, #3, and #6, respectively. The only game Dockal lost at #2 was in set two, Kinnear took both sets 6-1 at #5, and Feist won 6-1, 6-2 at #4.
The Foresters improved to 3-0 while Elmhurst fell to 0-4.
Lake Forest will begin Midwest Conference competition in Wisconsin on Sunday. The team will play at Ripon College at 9:00 in the morning and at Lawrence University at 3:00 p.m.
