7/25/2024 4:58:00 PM

Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Nicki Pieart announced Thursday the hiring of Andrew Lind as the Foresters' Head Swimming & Diving Coach.

"We are excited for Coach Lind to join our staff," noted Pieart. "He has enhanced team performance at every step of his coaching journey and has a passion for developing student-athletes, both in and out of the pool. I am confident our swimming and diving program's rich history of success will continue under his direction."

Lind comes to Lake Forest after serving in the same role at Beloit College in 2023-24. Buccaneer swimmers and divers broke 20 of 46 school records last season and the 2024 Midwest Conference Men's Newcomer of the Year and Women's Diver of the Year hailed from Beloit. In addition, Lind's men's and women's teams combined for a dual meet record of 8-4.

Prior to his time at Beloit, Lind was the assistant women's swimming and diving coach at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He helped the Tigers place third at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships behind two of the top three programs in the nation and their point total at the conference meet was the highest since joining the league in 2011.

Lind also served as the head boys and girls coach at Holmen High School in Holmen, Wisconsin, and as the Senior Elite Sprint Coach at Riptide Swim Club in Apple Valley, Minnesota. The Lakeville, Minnesota, native was a double major in business management and professional and organizational communications at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and was also a member of the Eagles' swimming and diving team.

"I'm very excited to be joining the Forester Family,: began Lind. "I would like to thank Nicki Pieart and all those involved with the search for entrusting me to lead the program into its next chapter. I'm honored to be given the opportunity to build upon the team's rich history and the College's Tradition of Excellence. I believe the goals I have for myself and this program align perfectly with the College's vision for the future. I'm eager to get started and cannot wait to see what the future holds."
