10/23/2026 11:06:00 PM

The Forester swimming and diving teams competed for the first time this season Friday evening, falling 188-107 on the women's side and 191-87 on the men's at Carthage College.

Lake Forest athletes won a dozen events, beginning with the first race of the evening, the women's 200-medley relay. With a time of 1:53.06, Joss Hoffman, Megan O'Neill, Isabella Rozenbergas, and Audrey Kilmer finished nearly a second ahead of the Firebirds.

The Foresters' next victory was the first of three for Matthew Strada. He won the 200-freestyle in 1:47.19, 100-freestyle in just 49.03 seconds, and 200-IM with a time of 1:56.96.

Isabella Rozenbergas had three individual event victories of her own on the women's side. She touched the wall first in the 200-butterfly in 2:21.81, 100-butterfly in 58.23 seconds, and 200-IM in 2:10.18 in dominant fashion. The combined margin of victory in her races was nearly 13 seconds.

Rozenbergas was not the only member of Lake Forest's 200-medley relay team to add a victory in an individual event. Hoffman prevailed in the 100-backstroke with a time 1:02.74, Kilmer took the 200-backstroke in 2:09.97, and O'Neill won the 200-breaststroke in 2:40.56.

Cameron Schlosser and Clayton Berg joined Strada as first-place finishers on the men's side. Schlosser followed Hoffman's victory in the women's backstroke with a triumph and clocking of 53.72 seconds in the men's race. Berg finished off another Forester sweep when, like Rozenbergas, he came out on top in the 100-butterfly, which he completed in 52.96 seconds. Schlosser was second in 53.20 seconds.

Lake Forest will compete in the Sports and Recreation Center for the first time this season when the team hosts Franklin College next Friday at 6:00 p.m.
