The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 6-3 by Wheaton College at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff Tuesday night.
The Foresters' first point of the night came at #3 doubles, where freshman
Felipe Vazsonyi and sophomore Ian VIllardi Venturini Barbosa edged out their counterparts 8-7 (7-5).

George Ciuca took the first set 7-5 at #4 singles and was ahead early in the second when his opponent was forced to retire, tying the match at two.

Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk defeated Wheaton's top player 6-2, 6-1 while the visitors prevailed at #3 in a third set super tiebreaker.
Vyshyvanyuk's victory was the 132nd of his career in singles and doubles combined, tying him with John Adams (2010-13) for the most in program history.
The loss lowered Lake Forest's record on the season to 8-5 while Wheaton improved to 9-3.
The Foresters' next six opponents will be against fellow members of the Midwest Conference, beginning with Ripon College at home Saturday morning at 11:00.
