The Lake Forest College track team closed out a successful indoor season at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet at Ripon College on Saturday.

After earning an All-MWC honor in the men's sprint medley relay and breaking five program records on Friday, the Foresters added to those accomplishments on Saturday, turning in two more all-conference performances and breaking four more school records.

The men's distance medley relay team of sophomore Ali Faiz, junior Andrew Douthat, freshman Ollie Francis, and junior Bart Brophy contributed to both categories, placing third with a time of 10:49.34. On the women's side, seniors Becca Ray and Annie Pulaski were followed by junior Delfina Jorgensen and freshman Lettia Hoda and finished fourth in 13:41.24, which ranks second in team annals.

Lake Forest's other All-MWC honor went to freshman Payton Ross, who was the runner-up in the men's 60m hurdles in 8.74 seconds. The Foresters also earned a point in the omen's race as sophomore Jacquelyn Han was eighth with a time of 10.54 seconds. Both hurdlers broke their own school records in the event during Friday's prelims and nearly matched those marks on Saturday.

The other event that spanned two days was the 60m dash, where sophomore AJ Jones was fourth in the women's race in 7.99 seconds. The school record in that event was also set on Friday when she qualified for the finals with a clocking of 7.88 seconds.

Lungu added a few more points to the men's team total in the 400m, where he finished fourth and broke his own program record with a time of 51.80 seconds. The 800m run was next and, while he finished just outside the top eight, junior Bart Brophy became the first Forester to break two minutes in the event, completing his four laps in 1:59.61.

Jones was back out on the track in the 200m and improved her hold on the school record in the event with an eighth-place time of 27.25 seconds.

The Foresters' 40 points at the meet were the team's highest total in four years.
