The Lake Forest College men's basketball team was defeated 72-58 at RIpon College on Wednesday.
The Foresters led by as many as seven points early in the contest and took a 27-25 edge into the locker room at halftime. After both teams shot 10-for-30 from the field and 3-for-10 from three-point range in the first half, Ripon connected on six of seven long range attempts and 10 of 13 shots overall during a decisive 24-2 run early in the second.
After falling behind by 21, Lake Forest closed to within a dozen points late in the game but got no closer.

Alex Knight led the Foresters with 21 points while freshman wing
Coltrane Marchand added 12. Both players also recorded a team-high four steals.
A 10-point, 10-rebound performance by junior forward
Michael Michaud gave him eight double-doubles on the season, the second-highest total in the Midwest Conference.
Lake Forest is now 8-16 overall and 6-9 in the MWC this season. Ripon improved to 10-14 overall and 8-7 in the league.
The Foresters will close out the season against Beloit College Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
