The Lake Forest College men's basketball team was defeated 87-73 by Endicott College in the championship game of the Emmanuel Tip-Off Tournament Saturday night.
The Foresters fell behind early and trailed 49-29 at halftime. They closed to within 15 points several times in the second half and trimmed the margin to 14 with three minutes to play. The teams traded baskets the rest of the way and 14 was the final margin.
Lake Forest junior wing
Alex Forowycz scored 18 of his team-high 20 points in the second half. He shot 9-for-156 from the field and connected twice from three-point range in the game.

Alex Knight and junior wing
Coltrane Marchand were next on the team with 14 points apiece and junior wing
Luke Arington also reached double figures with 11. Knight led the squad with five assists and senior forward
Michael Michaud with seven rebounds.
The Foresters were out-rebounded 41-30 and shot 43.5 percent from the field while Endicott was at 50.8 percent. The Gulls also made 15 three-pointers to Lake Forest's six.
The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 1-3 while Endicott improved to 2-1.
Lake Forest will travel to the University of Chicago on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
