The Forester men's soccer team was denied a fourth consecutive victory and fifth straight game without a loss by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Tuesday. The final score was 3-1.

The Warhawks struck twice in the first half of the non-conference game and tacked on one more score with 29:10 remaining in the contest.

Lake Forest made things interesting with a goal at the 79:18 mark. A free kick from 40 yards out by junior Miguel Rodriguez reached junior Arthur Soltys in a dangerous spot and his header arched over the goalkeeper and into the left side of the net. The score came in the first appearance this season for Soltys.

The Foresters out-shot the Warhawks 8-6 in the second half and both teams had 11 attempts in the contest. Lake Forest's seven shots on goal were two more than Whitewater's total.

The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record on the season to 4-7-3 while Whitewater improved to 7-5-3.

Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play against Monmouth College at home on Saturday. The contest will begin at 11:00 a.m.
