The Forester track team traveled the Olivet Nazarene University on Friday to compete with 20 other schools at the ONU Invite.
Junior
Bart Brophy turned in the team's top performance, finishing fourth out of 57 runners in the 800m. His time of 2:00.81 ranks him second in school history, less than half-a-second off the program's indoor record.
Freshman
Lettia Hoda and sophomore
AJ Jones led Lake Forest's women's team. Hoda was fifth in the 3000m in 11:11.32, which ranks her fourth in team history. Jones placed in a pair of events, placing sixth out of 29 competitors in the 400m and seventh out of 46 in the 200m. Her 400m time of 1:03.40 ranks her second in program history and her clocking of 27.82 seconds in the 200m was 0.31 off the school record she already owns. Jones also posted the seventh-fastest time (8.25) out of 42 runners in the 60m prelims.
Freshman
Payton Ross added a sixth-place finish in the men's 60m hurdles. He posted a time of 8.94 in the prelims and 9.05 in the final.
The Foresters had a pair of runners place in the 600m. Senior
Becca Ray was sixth in the women's race with a time of 1:53.20 and freshman
Ollie Francis finished seventh on the men's side in 1:27.86.
Lake Forest will travel to Ripon College next Saturday for the Red Hawk Invite.
