Foresters Fall at Nation's 4th-Ranked Team

The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was defeated 5-1 on Saturday at Adrian College, the fourth-ranked team in the nation.

Sophomore forward Logan Kittleson accounted for the Foresters' lone goal. His sixth score of the season was set up by junior forward Griffen Sanom, who stole the puck behind the Bulldogs' net and found Kittleson all alone in front of the goal.

Kittleson's goal made the score 4-1 at the 7:30 mark of the second period. Adrian had taken the early lead just 65 seconds into the contest and added another goal later in the opening period. The home team struck again 62 seconds into the second and converted a power play opportunity less than a minute before Kittleson's score.

The Bulldogs tacked on an additional insurance goal with 1:49 to play in the contest.

Adrian had a narrow 39-33 advantage in shots on goal in the game.

Lake Forest fell to 6-13-0 overall and 3-9-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play while Adrian improved to 14-4-1 overall and 11-1-0 in the league.

The Foresters will take on Milwaukee School of Engineering next weekend. The teams will face off in Lake Forest's Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse Friday night at 7:00 and in Milwaukee Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
