The Lake Forest College men's basketball team led by 10 in the first half but had the game get away in the second as visiting Ripon College prevailed 80-62.
A 21-7 run in the opening period gave the Foresters a 26-16 lead and they were ahead 31-24 at halftime. A traditional three-point play by Lake Forest junior guard
Alex Knight restored that 10-point lead with 17:46 to play but the Red Hawks scored the game's next 15 points. Back-to-back three-pointers by sophomore wing
Luke Arington put the home team back on top by one but Ripon answered again with a 20-4 run and maintained a double figure lead the rest of the way.

Alex Forowycz led Lake Forest with 17 points and Arington was next with 15. Knight finished with 14 points, five rebounds, and a game-high seven assists.
Junior forward
Michael Michaud grabbed a team-high seven rebounds but the Foresters were at a 36-25 deficit in that category overall. They also shot just 35.7 percent from the field while the Red Hawks were at 47.6 after shooting 58.8 percent after halftime.
Both teams had entered the game at 3-11 overall and 1-4 in Midwest Conference play.
