Box Score The 2023 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament was hosted by Washington University in St. Louis over the weekend and four Foresters made the trip.

Freshman Sofia Strupovets rolled 6-1, 6-0 in her opening round match in the ITA singles bracket before falling in the round of 32. Bugnacki was defeated by the event's #8 seed in her first match and was also unable to advance in the consolation bracket.

Strupovets and Bugnacki prevailed 8-2 in the first round of doubles. They were defeated in the round of 32 but posted two more victories to reach the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket.

Forester freshman Kristen Ahn competed in the Blue Division, where she won 6-4, 6-3 in the quarterfinals and came back to win 2-6, 7-6 (7-3), (10-7) in the semifinals. The final was another three-set decision but she came out ont he wrong end of the 7-5, 1-6, (10-3) decision.

Playing in the Green Division, junior Sara Lopez fell in the opening round and was eliminated in her first match on the consolation side of the bracket.

Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference dual match play on Saturday, October 7, when the team celebrates Homecoming by hosting Monmouth College in the morning and Illinois College in the afternoon.
