In a very energetic and aggressive match, the Lake Forest men's soccer team fell 2-0 to the visiting North Central College Cardinals.
The Foresters played a strong defense, but North Central slipped two goals by their goalkeepers, once at the tailend of the first half and the second less than 10 minutes into the second. Lake Forest freshman
Nico Lomanto block a shot with a well-timed header to keep Cardinal goal off the board with seconds left in the first half.
North Central outshot Lake Forest 12-1 and dominated possession of the ball for most of the game, despite some passionate play from the Foresters.
This was the last game before Lake Forest begins conference play. On Saturday, they're set to host Grinnell College at 1:30 p.m.
