The Forester men's basketball team was defeated 89-81 by visiting Kalamazoo College Wednesday evening,

Alex Forowycz and junior guard
Alex Knight, who combined to shoot 21-for-37 from the field and finished with 27 and 26 points, respectively. Forowycz connected on five of eight attempts from three-point range.
With a dozen points and a game-high 11 rebounds, Lake Forest junior forward
Michael Michaud recorded his fourth double-double in the last five games and fifth this season. He continued to be efficient at the offensive end, shooting 6-for-8 from the field.

Elijah Bull led all players in the contest with four steals and a career-high 11 assists.
The Hornets were the more efficient team on offense, knocking down 53 percent of their field goal attempts, including 11 of 23 shots from beyond the arc. The Foresters were at 46.4 percent overall and 8-for-24 on three-pointers. Lake Forest had a slight 36-33 edge in rebounds.
Forowycz and Knight combined to score the game's first nine points but Kalamazoo came back and, at the 11:43 mark, turned in the first of five lead changes in the first half. The visitors had a 49-45 lead at halftime.
The visitors' advantage remained between two and five points until a traditional three-point play by Knight put Lake Forest on top 62-61 with 12:32 remaining. The Hornets, however, scored the next six points and led the rest of the way. The Foresters got no closer than six points during the final five minutes of the contest.
The loss left Lake Forest with an overall record of 3-6 while Kalamazoo improved to 6-3.
The Foresters will be in action next on Sunday, December 17, at Augustana College.
