The Forester men's basketball team was defeated 106-74 by Simpson College at the Loras Holiday Classic Saturday afternoon.

Luke Arington led Lake Forest with 15 points while junior forward
Michael Michaud and sophomore wing
Alex Forowycz added 12 and 9, respectively. Junior guard Elijah Brown finished with a team-high seven rebounds and five assists.
The Foresters shot 43.9 percent from the field while Simpson players connected on exactly two-thirds of their field goal attempts and on 15 of 28 shots from three-point range. The Storm also had a 35-27 edge on the boards.
Simpson scored the game's first six points and led throughout the contest. The margin reached 27 points in the first half and the score was 54-29 after 20 minutes of play. The Foresters shot 50 percent from the field after halftime but the Storm was at at 75.9 percent and continued to pull away.
A loss in Lake Forest's final non-conference game of the regular season dropped the team's overall record to 3-9 while Simpson improved to 6-7.
The Foresters will resume Midwest Conference play against Knox College Wednesday evening at 5:30.
